CPCB IV+ models (to 750 kVA) ship with DEF after-treatment and 75 dBA acoustic enclosures per MoEF/CPCB — the official Cummins CPCB IV+ range brochure covers them. Sets above 800 kW are open machines with site-engineered acoustic treatment and stacks. Not sure which rating fits? Size your load with the kVA calculator before you ask for the offer.
Why Cummins
Engine, alternator and controls from a single manufacturer means one accountable warranty and one service network — not three vendors pointing at each other when it matters.
- Engine + alternator + controls engineered together
- OEM warranty honoured through the Cummins network nationwide
- CPCB IV+ compliance certified at the factory, not retrofitted
- Dealer who operates 80+ sets — we sell what we run

Two old sets out. One right-sized set in.
For a Pune pharma major we analysed two ageing sets — 250 and 62.5 kVA — against a single 400 kVA unit: fuel burn, maintenance cost, footprint. The numbers made the decision. That is what buying from an operator, not a trader, looks like.
Loads under two years, seasonal demand, or a site you might vacate — rental usually wins. The rental fleet runs the same Cummins ratings with delivery, commissioning and B-checks included.

Frequently asked questions
Is Power Solutions an authorised Cummins dealer?
Power Solutions is an Associate Dealer of Cummins Powerica for new Cummins DG sets from 15 to 2750 kVA, covering Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh — with OEM warranty and the Cummins service network behind every set.
Are the gensets CPCB IV+ compliant?
Yes. The current Cummins range is CPCB IV+ compliant — the emission standard applying to new diesel gensets in India since July 2023 — with DEF after-treatment, a 60-litre DEF tank as standard, and 75 dBA acoustic enclosures per MoEF/CPCB norms. Sets above 800 kW sit under the separate MoEFCC large-engine regime.
What is included with a new DG set?
A typical supply includes the genset with acoustic enclosure, AMF panel, day fuel tank, changeover switch, CPCB-compliant silencer and exhaust, installation and cabling, statutory-ready documentation, commissioning, operator training and the first service — one contract, SITC scope.
What is the lead time for a new Cummins genset?
Standard ratings typically ship in weeks, not months, depending on the factory schedule and enclosure options; larger and synchronised multi-set configurations are planned against the project. The written offer carries the committed schedule.
Can you replace two old DG sets with one right-sized unit?
Yes — this is a consultative sizing exercise we do routinely. For one pharma client we analysed two ageing sets (250 + 62.5 kVA) against a single 400 kVA unit, comparing fuel efficiency and maintenance cost, and recommended the consolidation with the numbers to back it.
Do you also install and commission what you sell?
Always — supply, installation, testing and commissioning as one scope, including exhaust structures to 30 metres, synchronising panels for multi-set sites, and integration with existing sets of any brand, as done for a food plant synchronising a new 1010 kVA Cummins with existing CAT units.
