The founder
Rajendra Patil spent 27 years at Cummins India and Aggreko — selling, servicing and living with the machines this company now runs. What the market lacked, he saw from the inside: a partner who would rent you a set, sell you a set, maintain any brand you already owned, and build the installation around it — without handing you off between vendors.
Power Solutions was founded in Mumbai in 2011 to be that partner — headquartered today in Viman Nagar, Pune. The escalation matrix still ends at a director's personal phone, 24×7 — because that is the difference between a supplier and the company whose own name is on the uptime.

Founded — the Mumbai years
Rajendra Patil starts Power Solutions after 27 years inside Cummins India and Aggreko. The first contracts are in Mumbai: AMCs for medium- and high-horsepower engines for Vertiv Energy, and comprehensive maintenance at Nirmal Lifestyle Mall, Mulund.

The pivot to rental
The business moves to DG sets on hire — building the rental fleet while the Vertiv Energy AMC anchors the service book.
- 2018
The institutional and turnkey era
Cummins DG-set sales with installation, and turnkey exhaust-stack fabrication — 30-metre stacks, synchronising panels and tender-grade documentation for the Reserve Bank of India, Central Bank of India and Coca-Cola bottling plants.

Authorised for new Cummins DG sets, 15–2500 kVA, across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

60+ sets, 20+ cities
The rental fleet crosses sixty sets deployed across logistics networks, plants and institutions — and the CPCB IV+ transition begins.

DG Fleet Manager
Our own fleet software goes live: digital service history, automated B-check reminders, and contract tracking for every unit and client. The rental fleet passes 80 sets.
