Engines above 800 kW sit outside CPCB IV+ under the MoEFCC's separate standards — with their own stack-height regime (30-metre class structures), acoustic treatment engineered per site rather than a factory canopy, and consent conditions that decide the installation. Prime rated — 1500 kVA at 0.8 PF for varying electrical load, unlimited hours, per ISO 8528, with the ten percent overload allowance of ISO 3046, exactly as the Cummins sheet defines it. When you compare offers, ask every vendor to state the rating basis in writing — a standby-rated 1500 is a smaller machine.

The Cummins sheet prints 231 L/hr at 75% load and 301.7 L/hr at full load for the radiator-cooled configuration — diesel of 0.85 specific gravity per IS:1460, with a +5% tolerance. The standard scope includes a 990-litre free-standing external fuel tank; day-tank and storage sizing are part of installation design.
