We have run our own rental fleet since 2015 and serviced DG sets since 2011, so a used set here comes with the one thing a classified listing never has: records. Every unit states its hours, its vintage and its emission stage before you ask.

We would rather tell you that than show you units that sold last month. Used stock is genuinely intermittent — sets arrive when a customer upgrades, a site closes, or one of our own rental units retires. Most used deals here start the other way round:
The kVA band, prime or standby duty, and where the set will actually run — the state matters as much as the load.

What we state on every unit
A classified listing gives you a rating, a photograph and a phone number. These are the things that actually decide whether a used set is a bargain or a liability.
Prime or standby, stated as such — not the flattering one.
The family, so you can price parts before you buy.
Read off the engine nameplate, not the invoice.
What the meter reads, reconciled against the log book.
The insulation reading, in megohms, on the day we tested.
Open or acoustic, and the honest condition of the canopy.
Model, and whether AMF and sync are actually functional.
The stage the engine was certified to when built.
Stated plainly. An RECD is not a CPCB IV+ certification.

Where our used sets come from
When a set comes off long-term hire we already hold its whole life: every B-check, every oil change, the hours at each service, the faults it had and what we did about them. That is a provenance no marketplace listing can offer, and it is why an ex-fleet set is usually the one we recommend. To be precise about it: the fleet is a rental fleet, and units become sale stock only when they genuinely retire from it — the fleet size is not a stock count.
More often, nothing in the yard matches what you need, so we go and find it. We inspect it before you commit — compression, blow-by, alternator megger, panel, log book and papers — and we tell you what we found, including when the answer is that you should walk away. You get the inspection either way.
Before you buy anything, from anyone
A retrofit does not rescue a pre-2004 engine, and the liability travels with the machine to whoever owns it next. Re-siting any used set counts as a new installation, so consents do not come with it. We check both against your actual site before we sell you anything, and we say no when the answer is no.
Where we deliver
Inspection and the load run happen where the set stands — at the seller’s site or in Pune by appointment — and you are welcome to come and see it run on load before you buy it. Beyond Maharashtra, these are delivery destinations we supply, install and service from Pune — not local branches we do not have.
Buying a used set, answered
No, and this page will tell you when we do not rather than showing you units that are already sold. If nothing listed suits you, send the rating and the site and we will source against your requirement, which is how most of these deals actually happen.
It means the figure is what the hour meter reads, reconciled against a service log we have seen, rather than what a previous owner told us. Where a meter has been replaced or looks unreliable we say so on the unit instead of quoting a number we cannot stand behind. Hour-meter tampering is common enough in this market that an unqualified number should always be treated with suspicion.
Only if the engine was manufactured to that standard in the first place, which for practical purposes means a set built from 2023 onward. Fitting a Retrofit Emission Control Device to an older set does not convert it into a CPCB IV+ set, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. We state the stage each engine was certified to at manufacture, and whether an RECD is fitted, as two separate facts.
That depends on the vintage of the engine and on your state pollution control board, and it is worth settling before you commit rather than after. Re-siting a set counts as a new installation — consents do not travel with the machine — and Delhi NCR is effectively closed to plain-diesel sets under CAQM directions. We check this against your specific site before we sell you anything.
We do not buy them and we do not sell them. Under the CPCB RECD procedure, engines manufactured and installed before 1 July 2004 are to be scrapped — not sold, not re-sited, not run — and no retrofit changes that. If you are being offered a cheap set of that vintage by someone else, the price is cheap for a reason and the liability follows the machine to you.
What we can offer depends on what the set needed when it came in, so we put the actual terms in writing on the quotation rather than advertising a blanket promise here. Where we have overhauled a set ourselves we stand behind that work specifically. We also fit used sets onto our normal AMC contracts, which is usually the more useful protection for a machine of that age.
