A 30-metre welded stack through the monsoon at Supreme Industries, Jalgaon

ClientSupreme Industries
LocationJalgaon, Maharashtra
Capacity30 m stack
ScopeStructural supply, fabrication and erection of a welded 30 m stack with exhaust piping

The brief

A 2000 kVA Cummins set at Supreme Industries’ Jalgaon plant needed its exhaust taken to full statutory height. Contracted through AG Corporation, the column was specified with welded connections over bolted — better fatigue behaviour, no torque-audit maintenance — and delivered from LOI to final bill in six months, with lifts worked around a running plant.

What made it hard

  • Welded connections specified over bolted — every splice a QA weld, not a torque check
  • Erection sequenced through the 2025 monsoon window
  • A running plastics plant below — crane lifts planned into night and low-activity windows

What we did

  1. 1Structural steel supplied to site and fabricated into the 30 m column
  2. 2Welded lattice stack erected and aligned beside the 2000 kVA set
  3. 3Exhaust piping with expansion bellows and silencer connections completed
